Time to Boost Your Confidence

10 Ways to Feel Good About Yourself

Imagine how different your life could be if you felt more confident! Fears would be a distant memory. You’d know without a doubt that you could achieve anything! Nothing could hold you back, and you’d be living the life you’ve always dreamed of!

Self-confidence is one of the most important qualities that set successful people apart from others. Think of every person you consider successful. Can you find even one who doesn’t exude confidence?

These people don’t have more confidence because they’re any better than you... They have confidence because they've developed skills and actions that brought them to that confidence.

Now, it's time to boost your confidence!

Here are 10 ways that you can feel good about yourself and have great success:

1- Look your best to attract others

There's an amazing feeling that comes over us when we wear a dress that fits well, a suit that's colored to complement our skin tone or an outfit that includes a statement piece that puts it over the top!

That statement piece could be a particular pair of shoes, a necklace, and even a handbag. This also serves as a great conversation piece if you're going to a networking event or meeting. You'll walk in, attract attention and have something to talk about!

2- Curate a look that stands out

When you don't feel inspired by anything you've worn lately go shopping, and buy something to make you look great! If your budget says otherwise, have a closet fashion show! Get in your closet and pull out the items you haven't worn in a while.

Pair things together that will make you stand out. Get creative with colors, patterns, and try everything on! When you know you look good, there’s an aura of confidence about you.

3- Sweat out the bad vibes

Making the effort to stay in shape can increase both your confidence and self-esteem. If you’re insecure about your weight, for example, those insecurities can affect many other aspects of your life.

4- Eating healthy

Nutritious foods give both your body and brain what they require to function at top capacity. Exercise to use up extra calories, tone your body, and bring you more energy.

Exercising also produces endorphins, the “feel-good” hormone, which gives you an emotional lift and makes you feel good about yourself.

5- Body language says it all

Experts agree that people may get more from your body language than they do from your words. Making eye contact can make you seem sure of yourself, and that you know what you’re talking about.

Smiles are contagious and make everyone feel good, including you! Studies show that putting a smile on your face can actually activate pleasant emotions, including confidence. Smile in the mirror every morning as you begin your day. It will put a spring in your step and give you the confidence to meet the challenges of the day.

6- Make use of affirmations

Affirmations can literally change your life for the better one thought at a time! Use them to reinforce your positive behaviors and override the mental attitudes that hold you back. For best results, repeat them at least twice a day.

Here’s an affirmation that can encourage greater confidence:

I accomplish my daily goals with ease. I am prepared to meet any challenge that comes my way. I feel confident at all times. I let go of my fear of meeting new people and look forward to new contacts.

7- Do things you enjoy

The activities you enjoy are most often the same things in which you excel. While you’re spending time having fun with these activities, you’re also reminding yourself how good you are! The more time you spend doing this, the more your confidence grows. So go out and have some fun!

8- Celebrate your wins

Always congratulate yourself on your accomplishments. When you do something good, pat yourself on the back, reward yourself, and feel good about it. Then move on to your next achievement with renewed vigor and even more confidence.

9- Challenge yourself

Pushing yourself a little more than you’re used to will open up new doors for you. When you meet the challenge, it may take you by surprise to learn that you can do things you never thought you could!

If that means taking a course, learning a new skill, or setting a slightly higher goal,.. Do it! You’ll feel better about yourself and your confidence will soar.

10- Fake it till you make it

We all have days where nothing seems to go right and our self-confidence is likely to bottom out. This is totally normal! On days like these, when all else fails, act confident anyway. Fake it till you make it!

Sometimes faking it actually does make you feel better. The actions that make you look confident can make you feel more confident as well.

Following these strategies can help bring you more confidence than you’ve ever had before. With more confidence, you’ll discover that you’re suddenly able to achieve more than ever. Plus, you’ll feel happier, more satisfied with life, and more fulfilled!
